Full Job Description

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to manage specific UK and cross-border tax projects and initiatives, including in relation to the UK patent box regime and R&D tax incentives, reporting to the Director of International Tax;

  • Identification of tax opportunities and risks relating to product innovation and technology, including restructuring activities, working alongside the existing tax team;

  • Working with our transfer pricing team to support the intercompany processes for technology, product development, including collaboration between Sky and Comcast;

  • Providing input on treasury related activity and M&A

  • Providing effective tax support and advice to the business, including advising on the tax implications of ad hoc projects, external contracts, supply chain changes and other transactions

  • Analysis of the tax implications of legislative changes

  • Support in responding to HMRC queries

  • Working with other members of the tax team on projects as required

    he tax department enjoys a high profile within the wider Comcast group and this role will involve regular contact with senior personnel in key operational areas of the business. The role will suit candidates with detailed knowledge and experience of UK tax matters who are able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, who have the ability to generate value-adding solutions to tax issues, have good project management skills, and a desire to learn and develop in an exciting and stimulating corporate environment., Professional qualification - ideally ACA or equivalent - with 2-3 years PQE


  • Strong UK corporate tax technical knowledge and experience


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to explain complex issues clearly and simply to non-tax experts


  • Personal accountability and a high level of attention to detail


  • Focus on delivery, with excellent time-management skills


  • Confident and self-motivated, with ability to work on own initiative


  • Good team-player, who is able to build personal networks across Tax and Finance, and with other stakeholders in the business


  • Strong IT skills, including excel


  • Experience of and an interest in the media or technology sector would be helpful


  • You will be based in Osterley (West London). Travel between Sky & other Comcast group sites in the UK may be required from time-to-time., Bachelor's Degree
