Full Job Description

Supporting the Tax Director, and working with the wider tax team, the Tax Manager will have responsibility for delivering on tax advisory, compliance, accounting and risk management matters across iQ,

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for REIT compliance, including the tax return process, and modelling/forecasting of the impact of business decisions on REIT tests

  • Overall responsibility for delivery of direct tax compliance and tax provisioning, making use of internal and external resource as appropriate

  • In house completion and submission of CIS returns

  • Provision of tax support to the People team on PAYE and related matters

  • Assisting and coordinating tax related due diligence (in conjunction with the Tax Director)

  • Working in conjunction with the Tax Director to maintain and develop relationships with HMRC, the external auditor and external advisers

  • Managing ongoing system-based process improvements, partnering with colleagues in the wider business where required

  • Additional responsibilities including quarterly tax forecasts, accounting tax accruals, WHT compliance, investor compliance, and support with tax audits

    Strong tax experience in a large accounting firm, or equivalent tax experience with a large private tax department

  • Excellent knowledge of tax compliance requirements and experience of working with HMRC's systems

  • Strong MS Excel skills - experience in forecasting and modelling preferred

  • Ability to work with finance professionals and understand accounting principles

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

  • The ability to explain technical tax terms and implications to non-specialist professionals

  • Commercial mindset - ability to identify improvements and cost savings

  • Organised and self-motivated

  • Experience in the UK real estate/property/construction sector preferred


  • We work a hybrid working model with 3 days per week based at our London Bridge office.
