Tax Manager or Assistant Manager

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Private Client Services Team as a Tax Manager or Assistant Manager in Portsmouth. This role is ideal for an experienced Manager looking to progress their career or an Assistant Manager aiming to step into a managerial position. You will play a key role in optimising clients' tax positions, providing tailored advice, and keeping ahead of the ever-changing tax system. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills, implement creative ideas, and make a significant impact on the business Responsibilities for this role will include:

• Manage a portfolio of clients, handling tax compliance and advice, including annual tax returns
• Support team members, especially during busy periods
• Prepare technical analysis and collaborate with specialists for tax advice
• Ensure proper client administration and risk procedures are followed
• Work with solicitors on tax matters and assist with corporate tax and business-related taxes
  
  CTA qualified, or ATT/ACCA/ACA qualified with relevant tax experience
• Experience with trusts and estates is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Confident in speaking with clients, both in person and over the phone
• Professional and competent with a proactive approach
• Flexible, creative, and eager to contribute new ideas and drive improvements
