Full Job Description

Maidstone Grammar School for Girls is a very successful selective girls' school of 1270 students with a mixed sixth form of approximately 360. MGGS has been appointed by the Department for Education as a Regional Computer Hub in recognition of the expertise the school has evidenced in Computing Education and will take a lead in training teachers across the south east in the delivery of Computing. The post offers the opportunity to work with intellectually able young people in a supportive and friendly environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic colleague to lead Media Studies within our English Department. The successful candidate will have a passion for Media Studies and be committed to promoting high quality teaching and learning within this thriving subject and they will have extensive experience teaching A level. Media Studies is a popular choice within our Sixth Form.
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:
+ a passion for teaching Media Studies
+ commitment to promoting high quality teaching and learning within this department
+ ability to promote Media Studies across the curriculum
+ experience of teaching Media Studies at A level standard
+ the ability to offer a second subject.
