Teacher in Math Ref: ME2425028 Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year annualised hours. 855 full time equivalent annual teaching hours. We would also consider applications for part time contracts. The Role The purpose of this role is to plan and teach on agreed programmes (GCSE, Functional Skills, potentially Access) and to contribute to their continued development. We have an opportunity for a teacher who is passionately committed to working with young people to help them succeed in maths working alongside our dynamic team. If you have experience of working with young people, have a degree in a maths related subject but do not hold a teaching qualification then we would still be happy to discuss the post with you and to offer teacher training to the right candidate. The Successful Candidate The successful candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

  • To have an understanding of how pupils learn and how teachers can enhance progression.
  • To be responsible for delivering the Math's syllabus as set down by the Math's Development & Quality Manager.
  • To teach Math's in an effective and professional manner to ensure the pupils learn efficiently and with interest.
  • To maintain good order and discipline within the classroom so that the pupils feel happy and secure and are able to work.
