Full Job Description
Supporting schools in providing for the inclusion and achievement of children and young people with significant needs arising from learning difficulties. Maintaining caseload responsibilities, advise schools on, and model where appropriate, how to provide high quality teaching and learning experiences to enable all children and young people to achieve the highest possible standards in all areas of the curriculum, which is broad, balanced, relevant, adapted, age appropriate and meets the needs of all CYP with special educational needs.
Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills- degree or equivalent Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in the relevant phase/setting, teaching children with Special Educational Needs. Excellent teaching skills with clear communication to set goals and pupil expectations Knowledge of attainment, progress and outcomes to successfully develop learning and teaching strategies] Evidence of commitment to own professional development Deliver training by identifying training needs in schools and provide/develop appropriate training opportunities Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car Desirable: Additional specialist teacher qualification (Assessment Practicing Certificate) in working and assessing children with special educational needs Exam Access Arrangements Assessors qualification Additional qualification in supporting/teaching children and young people with Special Educational Needs
