Teacher of Art & Design

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, dynamic and creative Art and Design teacher for January 2025. We are looking for a teacher with excellent interpersonal skills, who has a thirst for knowledge and can inspire young people to develop and creatively explore their ideas, skills and confidence in a range of creative and technical disciplines. We require a subject specialist that can teach Art and Design and related techniques to KS3 and KS4 students. You will need to display a genuine commitment to teaching and the ability to develop our students' love of learning in visual and creative arts. The role and what we are looking for The Teacher of Art & Design will work with our growing team of middle leaders and teaching staff to ensure excellence across the Academy. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, flexible and committed to ensuring that our Academy provides the very best opportunities for every single student. Our Academy We are a secondary school in Oldham, Greater Manchester that opened in 2018 and are dedicated to supporting our young people to reach their potential. We leave no child behind; our progress data is incredibly strong and it is attributed to the hard work of our staff and students. Being part of the Oasis Community Learning multi-academy trust, we benefit from support and sharing of best practice from our regional schools, Regional Director and wider Oasis family. We opened the Academy in temporary accommodation in 2018, with just 230 students across two year groups. In November 2020 we moved into our new, permanent home, which is a state of the art building that sits on the old Breeze Hill School site located on Roxbury Avenue, just off Lees Road in Oldham. We currently serve over 1,300 students, after welcoming another 300 Year 7s into the Academy in September. We will be at full capacity, with 1500 students, by 2025-2026.
