Teacher of Biology

Required for April 2025

Maternity Cover Fixed Term, Part-Time Position

Grade: Westholme Scale Point

Reporting to: Head of Faculty

We are delighted to have an opportunity for an inspirational and well-qualified Teacher of Biology to join this successful department from April 2025.

The successful candidate will teach general science to Years 7 and 8, and Biology up to A level. Candidates will ideally be able to offer a second science subject up to GCSE level.

Biology is a popular A level choice with increasing numbers of students choosing to study medical routes and material science courses at university each year. This role would suit a new teacher, or someone with more classroom experience.

A willingness to be involved in extra-curricular activities such as clubs, competitions and educational visits is essential, and other interests which are particular strengths of the successful candidate would also be welcome.

Closing date: Monday 2 December at 9am.
