With Record-High Student Numbers, We're Expanding Our Team

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic Business Studies and Law department. Due to an unprecedented increase in applications for the 2024/2025 academic year, the department is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Business to join our high-performing team. Our A Level Business students follow the AQA specification, while our BTEC offerings include both the Extended Certificate and Diploma in Business. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in teaching BTEC Business and/or A Level Business, or those eager to develop expertise in these courses and their assessment requirements.

You will join a highly supportive department that fosters a collaborative team ethos. We are committed to delivering exceptional learning experiences for our students and supporting the professional growth of our staff, making this position particularly appealing for both experienced educators and those new to the teaching profession. We are proud to announce that all courses within our department achieved outstanding results in 2024, with the majority ranking in the top 25% nationally.

We pride ourselves on offering more than just a place to work. At JLC, we promote a wider college community where departments, staff, and students come together to create a dynamic and supportive environment for all. By joining our team, you will have an opportunity to experience a collaborative and inclusive work culture, to partake in diverse and engaging activities and events and to be able to utilise state-of-the-art resources and facilities. On top of this you will also get the opportunity to work with dedicated educators, as well as the possibility for professional growth and development.

The College has excellent in-house training programs for Early Career Teachers and aspiring leaders, ongoing CPD opportunities in-house, part of ACT and externally, and we would support individuals who would be taking their first steps into teaching. The college offers a wide variety of benefits for staff, including free parking, on site catering facilities, TPS pensions and access to a wide variety of locally agreed discounts.

If you would like to arrange a visit or have any questions, please contact the HR team by email humanresources@leggott.ac.uk who will be happy to help.

Salary: Teacher PT 1-9 (£30,500-£47,133) Suitable for Early Career Teaching, depending on qualifications and experience.

The closing date for applications is 9am Tuesday 17th September 2024.

The interview is on Friday 25th September 2024.
