Full Job Description

Engage with teaching and learning drop ins and training for staff as part of the department's development

Plan and deliver student learning that ensures student engagement and progression for all students, including those with Special Educational Needs and those identified as more able

Within their classes, take responsibility for analysing progress and attainment data to make data driven changes to curriculum design, student intervention and set changes.

Use formal and informal assessment to identify gaps in students' learning and skills and adapt teaching accordingly to enable students to make progress

Provide opportunities for students to take part in additional subject specific activities/trips, which includes opportunities in providing extra-curricular activities.

Are active members of their curriculum and pastoral teams, contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the school

Develop positive relationships with the students based on mutual respect

Consistently implement the school's positive behaviour system

Develop and maintain good relationships with parents and the wider community

Take responsibility for their own professional development including attending relevant CPD events, observing peers and identifying personal developmental targets.

Qualified teacher status

Have a good degree in a relevant subject area

Experience - Essential:

Record as an excellent classroom practitioner

Desirable:

Record of excellent good examination results in classes

Evidence of contribution to effective schemes of learning

Skills - Essential:

Great teacher with excellent skills in lesson planning and delivery

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
