Bolton St Catherine's Academy Teacher of Business Studies and KS3 Computing MPS T1 - T9 (£31,650 - £49,084) 1.0 FTE Permanent Contract Required 1st January 2025 or ASAP thereafter (negotiable for the right candidate) Are you prepared to work collaboratively and openly for the benefit of young people? Main Duties: The successful applicant will be a well-qualified, ambitious, and enthusiastic teacher of Business Studies and Computing who will contribute positively to the work of this successful department. You will be required:
- to teach your subject at all levels and to all abilities, seeking to ensure that all pupils make very good progress, enjoy their learning, and become well educated;
- to contribute more widely to the well-being of our pupils, through being a form tutor, undertaking duties, and being a role model for them for their learning and their conduct The successful candidate will be someone who:
- be an acknowledged practitioner with a clear understanding of the characteristics of high-quality teaching and proven experience of teaching across the whole age and ability range
- motivate both colleagues and students to work hard and try their best through passing on to them their infectious enthusiasm and passion for teaching
- actively share good practice and seek to explore ways to improve their own and others' teaching
- work hard to ensure all students make at least expected progress irrespective of their starting point and individual needs
- understand that behaviour management starts with the quality of teaching in the classroom
- demonstrate leadership qualities including personal resilience, drive and initiative and role model those personal qualities we wish to see in all our staff and instil in our young people. In return we can offer:
