An opportunity has arisen for you to join our highly focused, dedicated staff in the role of teacher of English. Teaching across key stages 3,4 and 5 we are looking for an excellent practitioner who can deliver innovative and creative lessons which challenge and engage students to progress academically and develop personally during their time at the academy.

Teamwork and positive relationships make the English department an exceptionally inclusive team whereby all staff feel valued and respected. We all work with one another to deliver an outstanding and interesting curriculum for KS3-KS5 as well as prioritising time for coaching. Well-being check ins are also scheduled in consistently to support our work life balance. Within the faculty, we have staff with a variety of specialised knowledge and a clear understanding of how to support the teaching & learning of others. We are looking for somebody to join our team who is just as enthused about the subject as we are. Our office door is always open and there is always somebody to ask if you need any support. Holgate is an Academy where teachers make a real difference to students' lives and staff work together across the Academy to support one another on a daily basis. The CPD/career development opportunities are brilliant and sufficient time is always taken in order to ensure that every staff
member's voice is heard.

The opportunity

This post would suit either a new entrant to the profession or an experienced teacher. We would welcome a teacher returning to work after a career break and will consider part time or flexible working where possible.

We endeavour to utilise each teacher's specialism and offer the opportunity to teach A level in our sixth form centre for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:

We have around 1400 students, with 11-16 education being based on the main site, and Post 16 provision shared with our partners. The Academy is part of the Diverse Academies Trust.
