Archway school is seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of English, the successful candidate will work alongside the experienced Head of Department and a dedicated team. This is an exciting time to join our school, we are experiencing a tremendous rise in numbers and this has put us in the wonderful position of being able to recruit new staff to join our supportive and forward thinking team. You would be joining a forward thinking and fully supportive team of staff who are passionate about improving the opportunities for all students. Archway was visited by a team of Ofsted inspectors in March 2022 and the school was graded "Good" in all five categories, with an overall effectiveness grade of "Good". The inspectors recognised the significant progress that had been made in a number of areas since the previous inspection in 2018. The school prides itself on its inclusive attitude and green credentials. We seek a well-qualified and enthusiastic colleague who has a passion for English, a determination to drive improvements in teaching and learning and an expectation that all students will reach their potential. The department aims to offer varied and stimulating courses to all students and is looking for someone who will enjoy developing new and exciting activities, both in and out of the classroom. Going forwards there may also be the opportunity to teach English & Media at A-Level.
