Full Job Description

Langdon Academy

Teacher of Food

Required for January 2025

Main/Upper Inner-London Scale

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving and successful Trust, to teach Food at KS3 and KS4 at Langdon Academy.

We are fortunate in already having a very strong team in place with outstanding colleagues and inspirational leaders, working within excellent facilities.

Our most recent GCSE results demonstrate significant improvement in performance, with student progress well above the national average. We are therefore seeking to recruit a colleague with excellent subject knowledge and clear evidence of their motivation and ability to deliver excellent outcomes for students.

Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 2000 students in the school, and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy, who have an enviable reputation both locally and nationally.

This appointment provides an opportunity to strengthen our team further with a new, talented and enthusiastic Food specialist who aspires to further promotion beyond this appointment. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

The scale of Langdon, the fact that it also has a primary phase, and its membership of Brampton Manor Trust provide considerable opportunity for the continuing development of our staff.

Please visit our website at www.langdonacademy.org to find out more information about the school.

All completed application forms must be sent via the TES portal, or to jobs@langdonacademy.org by the closing date below.

Please note that CVs will not be accepted.

Closing date: Monday 1 November 2024 at 9.00 am.

Please note: Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, as applications are received.

Brampton Manor Trust is committed to the safeguarding of children. Enhanced DBS checks will always be carried out on new employees.

Please note that this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You must give details on your application form of all offences, convictions, cautions or bind overs you have or any court cases that you have pending.
