Pupils' enthusiasm for the study of Geography is encouraged by imaginative, varied and challenging courses at all levels of the School, up to and including Oxbridge preparation.

The vacancy is full time, permanent position from April. We welcome applications from a wide range of candidates and the School has an excellent track record of training and mentoring leading to Qualified Teacher Status.

The Geography Department is a 'down to earth', lively and friendly environment - one in which teachers and pupils build a positive working environment.

Teaching up to and including A Level you will be committed to passing on your love of and expertise in the subject. In addition you should be committed to and promoting and maintaining the high standards of achievement of the pupils and contributing to the development of outstanding teaching practice across the department.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a minimum of 30 (40 minute) lessons, which would usually include a form tutor period and possibly a games period.

A contribution to the wider life of the School is also expected from staff at Hampton and Teachers may be responsible to other colleagues in their work, (e.g. a Form Tutor will have the Head of Year as their immediate line manager for pastoral work).
