Full Job Description

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering exceptional lessons within the Humanities department, with a focus on Geography. We seek a forward-thinking professional who can inspire students and contribute positively to the team. Upholding the values of Haberdashers' Hatcham College, the candidate will maintain a positive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential while prioritising safeguarding and student welfare. The role also includes active participation in departmental frameworks, planning and evaluating lessons, and assessing student progress in Geography.

Key responsibilities include teaching Geography across all age and ability ranges, staying informed on subject developments, and utilising a range of teaching methods to deliver engaging lessons. The candidate will mark work in line with the College's feedback policy, set and evaluate examinations, and support positive behaviour policies. Participation in the College's house and enrichment activities is also essential, alongside the use of ICT tools to enhance teaching. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with colleagues and parents.
