Teacher of Girls PE (Maternity Cover)
Teacher Main Scale or UPS
Are you an outstanding, ambitious and highly motivated individual with a passion for inspiring students to lead a healthy and active lifestyle?
We are looking to recruit a Teacher of Girls Physical Education, from January 2025, of the highest calibre, who can inspire and support our students. A strength in delivering rugby and/or football would be an advantage, as well as being prepared to commit fully to our wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and be involved in our upcoming tours to Belfast and Surrey, following on from our recent rugby and netball tour to Dubai.
The successful candidate will be, or have the potential to be, an outstanding classroom practitioner, and will teach across our diverse and varied curriculum, including GCSE PE, A Level PE and BTEC Sport. Ideally, you will specialise in the teaching of rugby and/or football.
Cleeve School PE department is a committed department that excels in adding value to its students academically, while providing a diverse range of curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. We are a leading department within the school, producing strong results; in our most results we have achieved a GCSE P8 score of +0.24 and an A-Level PE ALPS score of 4. We are a thriving team made of twelve staff including four members of SLT and two pastoral leaders.
We have excellent facilities, spread across two sites, including 24 acres of playing fields, with ambitious plans to upgrade all PE facilities over the next few years.
The school is an equal opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and therefore expects all staff and volunteers, to share this same commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability,
sexual orientation or religion. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
