Teacher of Girls PE - Temporary in first instance

The P.E Department at Eastern High currently consists 7 members of teaching staff, including a WRU Rugby development officer, who work collaboratively to deliver high quality teaching and learning to all pupils in top sporting and educational facilities.

We are a fully inclusive and restorative department that is dedicated to both supporting and challenging all members of our diverse community and to develop the potential in all our students, no matter what their starting point, enabling them to flourish in life.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Girls' PE teacher to join us in raising achievement across the year groups and ensuring that all pupils, regardless of their ability, will be given the opportunity to experience a wide range of physical activities. We have a broad curriculum that covers the majority of winter and summer sporting activities. The successful applicant will also teach Health & Well-being classroom based lessons, Equality & Diversity and RVE.

At Eastern High we run a range of extra-curricular activities and are looking for a teacher that can help develop our sporting experiences further. We have successful teams in rugby, girls and boys football and netball. We are able to deliver non-traditional sports such as trampolining. Experience of teaching GCSE P.E would be advantageous.
