Full Job Description

Teacher of Graphic Design - 1FTE Permanent

Our Creative Arts department has a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher of Graphic Design! We're privileged to offer a diverse range of courses in this area, encompassing Fine Art, Graphics, 3D Design, Textiles, and Photography. The area is vibrant, motivated, and positive with great understanding and knowledge. Our technicians play a key role in supporting the team and students. We are looking for someone who is deeply passionate about the subject, enjoys working as part of a team, is able to consistently deliver high-quality results, and adept at inspiring and motivating students to help achieve their dreams.

Situated across two floors alongside Science and the recently renovated Clinical Health Suite, our department exudes an 'art school' ambiance. Many of our students study multiple creative courses, reflecting their enthusiasm and engagement. They're motivated, friendly, and deeply appreciative of the opportunities we provide. In addition to their curriculum, we actively aim to provide experiences to enrich their cultural capital and broader skill set, from residential trips to visits by industry professionals. We're dedicated to preparing our students for life beyond college.

In return, we pride ourselves on offering more than just a place to work. At JLC, we promote a wider college community where departments, staff, and students come together to create a dynamic and supportive environment for all. By joining our team, you will have an opportunity to experience a collaborative and inclusive work culture, to partake in diverse and engaging activities and events and to be able to utilise state-of-the-art resources and facilities. On top of this you will also get the opportunity to work with dedicated educators, as well as the possibility for professional growth and development.

The College has excellent in-house training programs for Early Career Teachers and aspiring leaders, ongoing CPD opportunities in-house, part of ACT and externally, and we would support individuals who would be taking their first steps into teaching. The college offers a wide variety of benefits for staff, including free parking, on site catering facilities, TPS pensions and access to a wide variety of locally agreed discounts.

If you would like to arrange a visit or have any questions, please contact the HR team by email humanresources@leggott.ac.uk who will be happy to help.
