Full Job Description

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of History, Geography or Religious Studies to join our Humanities Department.

We are seeking an individual to cover a maternity position with a start date of January 2025.

The Humanities team operate within an extremely successful, dynamic and well-resourced faculty. It offers a challenging, stimulating and supportive environment in which you will thrive as a teacher and build your career. In Years 7-8, pupils are taught Humanities and learn from a contemporary curriculum with both breadth and depth, switching between Geography, History and Religious Studies several times throughout each year. From Year 9, pupils are taught in subject-specific groups. The skills for success at GCSE underpin all units in each of the subjects. Despite being taught as three subjects, they are viewed holistically as a trinity of Humanities learning, with all teachers teaching Religious Studies at GCSE. We seek applicants with drive and enthusiasm who can bring their own expertise and experience to the team, with a specialism in either Geography, History or Religious Studies.
