Full Job Description
Goldwyn School is seeking to appoint an inspiring and innovative Teacher of ICT and Computing to develop, integrate and deliver wider IT strategy to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum. For an experienced candidate there is an opportunity to lead on developing digital teaching and learning across the whole school. The successful candidate will be instrumental in selecting appropriate exam specifications and designing the KS3 and KS4 curriculum. We are also looking for the candidate to develop ICT within the classroom across the whole school in collaboration with members of the Senior Leadership Team.
+ Be confident in teaching the GCSE standards + Have outstanding subject knowledge in Computer Science/Computing + Be an excellent classroom practitioner + Have experience of achieving more than expected progress with students + Be fastidious, analytical and proactive in using assessment data to inform teaching + Believe in the potential growth of all students + Be passionate about teaching and learning and willing to innovate strategies to secure progress for all + Be able to work with a blended curriculum and be flexible in your teaching methods and approaches + Be able to work with staff to support their knowledge and confidence of ICT in the curriculum through the deliver of CPD sessions and hosting drop in sessions + Be creative, persistent and resilient in supporting students + Be committed to developing enrichment opportunities for students + Have the ability to reflect on students' progress and create schemes of work that are informed by fine data and observed need + Be able to use their own initiative You will be highly motivated and flexible demonstrating a passion for working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Goldwyn is an outstanding and unique secondary (11-18) SEMH Special School in Kent, operating over 4 sites in Ashford and Folkestone, with each site running its own distinctive educational pathway. Goldwyn School is a KCC Foundation Special School for children and young people with an EHCP for SEMH needs from age 11 to 18.
