Full Job Description

We are excited to advertise the position of Teacher of IT at Wrotham School. We are justifiably proud of our outstanding IT & Computing department which consistently delivers an engaging and inspirational curriculum whilst achieving the highest levels of student progress at KS3, GCSE and A Level. We are looking at expanding our remit to all levels and year groups at the school. We are looking for someone with a real passion and forward thinking mind-set to push this department forward. This post is suitable for practitioners who are passionate about their subject and wish to work in a school where success is rewarded with both autonomy and competitive remuneration. Personal Specification: Required

+ Experience of teaching Information Technology vocational qualifications. + A passion for exciting and engaging lessons that apply real world skills to creative projects. + Be able to teach across the Adobe Suite Package including, Photoshop, Premier Pro and Flash. + A working understanding of assessment and moderation of vocational and academic subjects. + A desire and determination to achieve outstanding results by working with all students to maximise their progress and attainment. + A commitment to our ethos as a recognised "School of Character". + Willingness to work collaboratively with staff across our small trust. Desirable: A track record of success in teaching Vocational qualifications at KS3, 4 and 5. A basic knowledge or want to learn to teach a little Computer Science as this will be needed in KS4. Experience of moderating academic and vocational and academic subjects at KS4 and 5. Exam board training and knowledge of a range of relevant qualifications. Experience of leading a team/ coordinating and quality assuring the work of others. NPQSL qualification or desire to undertake this (supported by the school).
