Full Job Description

Dean Close Airthrie school are looking to appoint a new Teacher of Junior Form, to start in January 2025. This is a part time role, working up to 20 hours per week during term time. You will be experienced candidate who is able to teach a range of subjects for our Key stage 1 and 2 classes and possess a strong subject knowledge and understanding of pedagogy. Other roles and responsibilities are to include:

  • To teach in a way which enables all pupils to make sound progress.
  • To monitor the progress of individual pupils carefully and use this information for planning future work
  • To support, encourage and inspire pupils in their learning and to discuss any pupils causing concern with the KS1 or 2 Lead
  • To write subject reports on pupils as required.
  • To be available for parent consultations

    We are inviting applicants to apply for the role who have a qualified Teaching status (QTS) and have experience in working within a Junior School.

    Dean Close Airthrie sits within Regency Cheltenham and has a Pre-prep and Prep School for children aged 4-11 (Reception - Year 6). The staff work within a very happy and supportive environment which is part of the larger Dean Close Foundation community.
