Teacher of Law and Criminology (maternity cover)

January 2025 to December 2025

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational person to join our strong and dedicated team, to work in our Sixth Form teaching Law and Criminology. Working in the beautiful and historic surroundings of the Cathedral Close, the successful candidate will teach these subjects to highly motivated pupils in Year 12 & Year 13.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well qualified and creative teacher with ambition, clear vision, energy and excellent communication skills.

This post is maternity cover, likely to last for a year from January 2025 to December 2025. The current timetable includes teaching on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Due to teaching blocks, this would need to remain until July 2025.

As a teacher you will join a thriving team who teach across the age and ability range throughout the school. Suitable candidates will have excellent academic qualifications and an innovative teaching style. Your passion for your subject will be clear to the students and you will have an ability to build, develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with all students, parents and colleagues alike. As a teacher within a successful department at the school, you will need to have a passion for teaching first class lessons and be prepared to contribute to the wider life of the school.

We are looking for the right candidate to fill this role to continue to deliver the excellent education upon which the school prides itself, as reflected in the latest ISI Inspection.
