Teacher of LEXIS

Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a part time Teacher of Lexis (ESOL) to join our team based at our Roundhouse Campus in Pride Park, Derby. You'll successfully manage a high-quality teaching and learning experience, which will encourage retention and achievement, and ensure all students are challenged, engaged and making progress every day.

Within this role you will be pivotal to the success of the Lexis provision the College delivers to students from Derby and the surrounding area. You'll provide an innovative, dynamic, and responsive delivery of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to students who are 16 to 18-year-olds. You'll be working with students whose English skills range from a pre-entry level up to entry level 3., You'll hold a teaching qualification and will have experience of teaching ESOL to 16 to 18-year-olds. To be successful in this role, you'll have excellent and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team. You may also have a subject specialism qualification at level 5, but it is not essential that you do.

Salary of £27,690 non-qualified teacher; qualified teacher £31,035 to £41,683 per annum pro rata
49 days holiday pro rata (inclusive of 8 bank holidays and 6 closure days where these occur)
