  • Job/Person Summary

    We are seeking an inspirational and passionate Music teacher to shape and develop our Music curriculum offer with their musical knowledge and love for the Performing Arts. The successful candidate will be required to teach all abilities across KS3 and KS4 to the highest standard and to make a positive difference to academy life. The successful candidate will be part of a Performing Arts Team, whose vision is to continue pushing the boundaries and celebrating the positive outcomes the Performing Arts brings to young people and our community. You must be able use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. We are looking for a passionate teacher who brings music to life, encouraging and challenging our students to engage with a subject they may not have had much reverence for prior to joining the academy. The Performing Arts department host two school shows a year, with a plethora
    of extra-curricular clubs and enrichment opportunities on offer, and the successful candidate will be expected to work with us in developing and showcasing our talented students outside of the classroom. We have an impressive music department, with multiple practice spaces and a recording studio, so the successful candidate has agency in deciding how they would like to make the space their own!
