Would you like to join a popular, oversubscribed school with excellent state of the art facilities?

Our popular and heavily oversubscribed school is looking to appoint a talented and inspirational Teacher of PE. The successful candidate will be a consistently good to outstanding practitioner and must be able to teach PE up to KS4 and KS5. They will be committed to excellent curriculum PE as well as the value and contribution of Sport and Exercise to the enrichment and wellbeing of our students. We have a thriving extra-curricular programme which we would expect the successful candidate to contribute to. The successful candidate will be a role model and leader and will look to inspire similar qualities within our students.

The successful candidate will join a well-established team supported by excellent resources including a full size 3G football pitch, sixty station fitness suite, cricket nets, and floodlit tennis/netball courts. For further information about the PE department and curriculum, please click here.

This is an initial fixed term contract until 31st August 2025, with a possibility of a becoming a permanent role.

ECTs are allocated a mentor, a reduced timetable and the opportunity to attend training sessions run by specialists from within the school.

We are keen to ensure that we support the physical and mental wellbeing of our staff. Discounted membership is available for the use of a fully equipped and well-maintained gym on-site. Staff are provided with a laptop and many have their own classrooms. We offer access to an employee advice service (Care First) which provides information, helpful resources, and a counselling service. We encourage community spirit and staff involvement through various social events, recent ones being "tea on the terrace" in the summer term, an orienteering event, murder mystery and cooking competitions, sports after school and a Furze Platt fantasy football league. We also ensure that freshly brewed coffee is ready for you during break-time with edible treats to help you through the week!
