Teacher of Primary Music and French

0.4FTE

Immediate start available

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and qualified teacher who has a proven record of accelerating progress and attainment in a junior school environment and is able to transform learning to secure achievement; is committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning; and is an outstanding classroom practitioner.

This role is primarily to lead our Junior School Music provision, and to teach French to our children in Reception, up to Year 4.

You will inspire students from EYFS through KS1 and lower KS2 to embrace the wonders of Music, inspiring a love of music through your own passion, and aim to provide an environment in which children can fully embrace musical life at the school. You will also be responsible for the school's junior choirs, orchestra, ensembles and musical events alongside the Head of Performance Music. The ability to play piano would be advantageous.

French lessons for the junior years will be engaging and exciting, encouraging our young children to learn a love of languages to carry them through to their senior school career.

The current teaching days for this post are Tuesday and Thursday. There could be the possibility to be flexible on this should the need arise.

You will be joining a team passionate about encouraging children to love learning in a warm and inclusive environment, that stimulates exploration and discovery.
