We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who can inspire students within the classroom and who would be willing to contribute to enriching activities beyond the classroom. The successful candidate can expect to teach across the full range of ages and abilities, whilst developing their own individual role within a very supportive atmosphere. This role is suitable for both an experienced Teacher or an ECT. Psychology and Sociology are popular A-Level choices at RMS, with multiple sets in both Year 12 and 13. The subjects gain exceptional results with many students going on to take the subjects at degree level, including at Oxford and Cambridge. Psychology & Sociology are based within the Hind House (Sixth Form) section of RMS. There are three members of the department who share dedicated teaching rooms. The Psychology and Sociology Department at RMS fully supports the aims of the School in striving to create an inspirational environment for all members of the school community to fully realise their potential. We are committed to ensuring that the needs of all individual students are met through engaging and dynamic lessons along with individual pupil support as necessary. The department also plays an active part in the wider life of the school, running extra-curricular clubs, our lecture series and supporting the RMS EDGE program. We are situated in stunning grounds of over 300 acres, with keen students and a large staff body. RMS is a fabulous environment in which to work and learn, future focussed and committed to delivering a first-class education by a motivated and positive staff body. Potential candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school website www.rmsforgirls.com for more information about our thriving school, with its excellent value-added results and inclusive community spirit that encourages both girls and staff to share a commitment to continued personal, professional and academic development.
