Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join our team full-time from January 2025. This is a permanent role, providing the opportunity to inspire students in the study of Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about Psychology and education, delivering engaging lessons that challenge students to think critically and develop a deep understanding of human behavior and mental processes.,
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Psychology lessons in line with the curriculum
- Inspire students to develop an interest in Psychological theories, research, and applications
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Psychology exams, providing support for their academic development
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and support
- Contribute to the development of the Psychology department, including resources and schemes of work
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and inquiry
- Provide pastoral support to students, encouraging both personal and academic growth
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent - A degree in Psychology or a related field
- Strong subject knowledge of Psychology and its application to secondary education
- Experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-Level
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A passion for psychology and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential
- Willingness to contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities
