Lichfield Cathedral School is a flourishing co-educational independent school in Staffordshire for ages 2½ to 18. Teacher of R.S (maternity cover)

November 2024 to July 2025

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational person to join our strong and dedicated team, to work in our school to teacher Religious Studies. Working in the beautiful and historic surroundings of the Cathedral Close, the successful candidate will teach R.S across the Key Stages. Having the experience and ability to teach Philosophy, Ethics and Theology to Year 12 and Year 13 would be advantageous but not essential

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well qualified and creative teacher with ambition, clear vision, energy and excellent communication skills.

This post is maternity cover, likely to last from November 2024 to July 2025. The current timetable covers 5 days, and it is likely that this would need to remain due teaching blocks.

As a teacher you will join a thriving team who teach across the age and ability range throughout the school. Suitable candidates will have excellent academic qualifications and an innovative teaching style. Your passion for your subject will be clear to the students and you will have an ability to build, develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with all students, parents and colleagues alike. As a teacher within a successful department at the school, you will need to have a passion for teaching first class lessons and be prepared to contribute to the wider life of the school.

We are looking for the right candidate to fill this role to continue to deliver the excellent education upon which the school prides itself, as reflected in the latest ISI Inspection.
