What we are looking for

Are you looking to become a valued member in a team of passionate teachers who are committed to delivering a curriculum that emphasises a deep understanding of science and allow students to have a better understanding of the world around them? Do you aspire to contribute to a curriculum that fosters a culture of exceptional academic achievement? Would you like to work in a school that has been acknowledged as the 'Top State School (non-grammar) in the East Midlands for 2022 and 2023 according to The Times and The Sunday Times 'Best Schools Guide', based on the outstanding GCSE and A level results achieved by students?

We are inviting applicants to share in our driven, supportive and aspirational culture who can help to deliver our curriculum to the highest standards. We are immensely proud of our curriculum choices across all key stages to help inspire students' intellectual curiosity and investigative skills in science. The ability to teach A level is essential. Our department is situated in a Science Block building named after one of our most famous former students, Francis Crick. The building consists of eleven laboratories, all of which have recently been remodelled.

We are looking for a science teacher with experience of delivering high quality teaching and learning and yielding positive outcomes for all students at GCSE and/or A level. The successful applicant must be a highly motivated professional with a desire to support students of a range of abilities and produce lessons driven by evidence-informed practice.
