Full Job Description

Teacher of Science

Experience of A Level Biology is an advantage

Loreto St Albans is an 11-18 girls' academy recognised by OFSTED as outstanding in all areas. With the support of our enthusiastic and accomplished staff our students achieve excellent results, and the Progress 8 performance measure has regularly placed Loreto in the top 4% of schools in the country. The school is oversubscribed and has earned an excellent reputation for discipline, pastoral care and academic standards.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic science teacher to join our Science Department. Experience teaching A level biology would be preferable but not essential.

The role is offered on a full-time basis or a part-time basis for teachers wanting to reduce working hours or a teacher looking to return to work with fewer working hours.

We welcome applications from candidates who are passionate about their subject and inspirational to their students. They will have the ability to teach across the whole ability range, KS3, KS4 and KS5.

Applications are welcomed from both ECTs and experienced teachers.

Visitors often say they are struck by the calm atmosphere and warmth and kindness of our students and staff. To help you make your decision on whether or not to apply, we can facilitate visits to the school to meet the Headteacher.

We ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. The above post will be subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and a barred list check before appointment to the post.
