The Achieve and Learn Trust have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Teacher of Science at one of their schools. Altrincham College (part of the South Manchester Learning Trust) is an over-subscribed 11-18 Academy set in the pleasant South Manchester suburbs of Hale/Timperley, on the Manchester/Trafford border. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. Therefore, online searches, including social media, will be carried out as part of our recruitment process.

Our vision is to nurture well-rounded citizens of the future who are knowledgeable, happy and resilient so that they make a valuable contribution to the world in which they live and are empowered to make informed and positive life choices.

Altrincham College places a high value on professional development; CPD opportunities will be available to the successful applicant.

We are delighted to offer an opportunity to work in the Science department of Altrincham College to cover the maternity leave for one of the Science teachers. We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as ECTs.

We seek to appoint a candidate with experience of teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4 and with a sound knowledge and genuine passion for this subject area. The Science Team consists of highly knowledgeable staff who give their best for our students every day - you would be joining a dynamic and future-focused department.

This post also offers the opportunity to join a great place to work where you will be supported by a hugely talented staff team across The Achieve and Learn Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding, creative teacher with the drive, passion and commitment to join our hugely talented team of staff, working together to encourage and support every child in reaching their full potential.

Please note that we do not employ unqualified teachers. Only applications from candidates with QTS status will be considered for any teaching post.

If you would like to apply, please visit the school website at www.altrinchamcollege.com for an application form and more details. Alternatively, if you have any questions about the role, please call Judith Davenport, PA to the Headteacher on or e-mail recruitment@altrinchamcollege.com.
