Richard Huish College has a strong reputation regionally in its offer of a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset.

Due to significant growth in student numbers in Criminology we are currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated teacher with the expertise to teach WJEC Criminology (introduced in Sept 2022) to support the current teaching within our successful and growing department. You will have the skills and abilities to provide an outstanding student experience through teaching, learning and assessment, enabling students to maximise their potential. We are looking for an innovative and committed classroom practitioner who would work collaboratively with the team, the post holder will play a key role in inspiring students to engage with the subject material and to participate actively in lessons. As a committed and dedicated teacher, the post holder will contribute to all aspects of the curriculum, ensuring students benefit from a high-quality learning experience.

· Hours: 0.4 FTE core teaching days/hours will be Mon 9.00-12.45 Weds 11.10-15.30 Thurs 11.10-15.05 with allocated planning & marking time

· Contract: Part time, fixed term

· Salary: Sixth Form Colleges Teachers pay scale £30,500-£47,133 (FTE) Actual salary £12,200-£18,853 Depending on experience

· Start Date: 6th January-11th April 2025

· Closing date: 9.00am 5th December 2024

· Interview date: Friday 13th December 2024
