Full Job Description

This opportunity is to join a dedicated team of colleagues within the Humanities Faculty at Fir Vale School. Ours is a well-established and successful faculty within the school and incorporates Geography, History and Languages. You will be a versatile and enthusiastic teacher of Spanish who enjoys a collaborative team working style, relishes a challenge and is resilient. You will be committed to the development and progress of students, able to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes.

As a multi-cultural school, we value and celebrate all languages in our community and beyond. The knowledge and skills developed through Spanish will support our students for life; and also add value to their cultural capital. GCSE Spanish is an option for all KS4 students. Over the last 3 years, our students have performed exceptionally well in their GCSEs, achieving grades above national average. We are looking for a candidate to help us maintain those standards and look for ways to improve even further.

The successful candidate will share our school's core values which are set out clearly in the attached documents and will be relentless in finding ways for students to achieve and thrive. The successful candidate should ensure our children; from a range of different backgrounds:

- Achieve the best they can through the KS3 and KS4 curriculums

- Have the opportunity to access Spanish through extra-curricular experiences

- Contribute to the wider school community
