Full Job Description

Due to an expansion to our thriving Business Department we currently have a vacancy for a full-time teacher of Business Studies to A Level. We are seeking to appoint a committed, organised, and dynamic member of staff.

Millfield prizes individuals who demonstrate passion for their subjects and who continually seek to develop their own teaching skillsets. The successful applicant will be able to teach students across a broad ability range; Business Studies GCSE and A Level, and BTEC Level 2 and Level 3.

Applicants should be interested in seeking to share good practice, be committed to building a culture of enterprise and entrepreneurship, and have the willingness to contribute to the academic extension programme for potential Oxbridge students.

For the right applicant, there is also the possibility to take on the role of 2 i/c Business, for which you would have oversight for the BTEC courses.

About us

Founded in 1935, Millfield's vision is to be the world leader for the development of children. There are nearly 1,300 students at the senior school (year 9 to U6), with a 3:1 ratio of boarding to day. Although essentially a rural British school, 20 per cent of Millfield students are international and come from more than 70 countries.

Set in over 100 acres of grounds, Millfield's size brings great opportunity, and the facilities are unmatched in the UK: an Olympic-sized swimming pool, golf courses, indoor centres for tennis, golf and cricket and an equestrian centre; concert hall, recording studio, theatre, art gallery, hi-tech Science block and outstanding teaching facilities; and high-quality boarding accommodation.

Our aim is to discover brilliance in every child and to immerse them in academic, creative and sporting opportunities to develop this brilliance. We offer an exceptionally wide range of courses and provide multiple pathways through the school to meet the needs of the individual child.

We strongly believe in employee wellbeing and, as such, there are many benefits available, including:
