Leigh Academy High Halstow is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join their vibrant team.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (1:1) to join us, supporting our Year 2 class. The successful candidate will need to have relevant experience in working with primary-aged children, a proven high standard of both spoken and written English, the ability to communicate effectively with children and adults is essential, together with a friendly and approachable manner. The successful candidate will be able to work using their own initiative and demonstrate effective behaviour management skills. In return, you will join a supportive environment with plenty of development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust.

This is a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year initially, working 1:1 with a student with special educational needs, offering an actual salary of £17,367 per annum (£23,114 full time equivalent) based on 32.5 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week inset.
