Full Job Description

We are looking for committed, enthusiastic, motivated, and skilled teaching assistant. You will need to be flexible, hard-working and have a sense of humour! The position is temporary for the academic year with the possibility of an extension depending on the school's needs. The successful candidate will work alongside the teaching staff in class as well as with individual children with SEN. This will be across Years 3, 4 & 5. They may also be required to provide lunch time supervision as part of their working hours.

Experience of working with young people or adults in a paid/voluntary capacity Previous experience of work with children or young people Good communications skills, written and oral Excellent numeracy and literacy skills Competent with computers and other technology Able to understand and implement strategies and methods to help students make good progress Understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion,

  • Have a patient and caring approach
  • Ideally have experience of working in KS2
  • Have had some previous experience of working with children with SEND needs.
  • Be passionate about making a real difference to the lives of the children
  • Build positive relationships with the children and their parents/ carers
  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Is a team player
