Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with the passion and commitment to join this high achieving, happy and successful staff team. Ricards Lodge High School is an outstanding, successful and vibrant multi-cultural comprehensive school for girls with a co-educational Sixth Form. We have high expectations of all our students and provide a dynamic and stimulating environment in which they can learn and develop as individuals. The roles includes:

  • Supervise and provide support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their access to learning resources
  • Work as a part of a team for the benefit of the pupils in the class
  • Support the implementation of school plans and assessments
  • Establish rapport and respectful, trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
  • Ensure pupils' safety and well being
  • Promote self-esteem and independence amongst pupils, employing strategies to recognise and reward self-reliance
