Full Job Description

The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher. You will work in close collaboration with our Teaching body to deliver the current curriculum to students and ensure all students are engaging with their education, in this role you will be expected to support with the management of behaviour within the classroom, as well as work in a variety of whole class exercises, as well as on a one to one basis and in small focus groups.

Outwood Academy Riverside, founded in September 2020 through the Free Schools Programme, implements the Riverside values program for all students at the start of every academic year. The academy is dedicated to the wide variety of students who enrol, ensuring strong routines and top-notch pastoral care for all pupils. Located at Russell Street, Middlesbrough, Outwood Academy Riverside is set to have a new school built on Pioneering Way close to Middlesbrough College. Additionally, a satellite site in Eston will open in October 2024 as the school continues to grow.
