Full Job Description
A full-time Teaching Assistant role, ideal for someone experienced in supporting students with mental health needs and challenging behaviours. The role requires resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure, assisting students both academically and emotionally to help them stay engaged and thrive.
Main Responsibilities
+ Provide classroom support alongside teachers
+ Work one-on-one or in small groups with students
+ Support the development of positive behaviour and social skills
+ Aid in the management of challenging behaviour
+ Offer emotional and mental health support
+ Strong ability to stay calm and resilient under pressure
+ Experience supporting students with mental health needs
+ Effective communication and behaviour management skills
Desirable Criteria
+ Teaching Assistant qualification
+ Previous experience working with secondary and post-16 students with SEMH needs
