Teaching Assistant Job Type: Permanent Salary/Grade: Grade B, scale pt 3 - 4 (£22,737 - £23,114 fte per annum) Hours: 27.5 hours per week x 39 weeks per year Actual Salary: 27.5 hours = £14,573 - £14,815 per annum Application Deadline: 11:59pm on Sunday 10th November 2024 Job Start Date: As soon as possible We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to be part of a team which supports our young people throughout their school day. Providing pastoral, academic support and delivering interventions to help create and maintain a purposeful learning environment. A selection of duties and responsibilities
- Supervise and provide particular support for students, including those with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programmes.
- Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students and encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities.
- Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher or line manager.
- Monitor students' responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed. Stoke Damerel is a vibrant and forward-thinking community of teachers and learners.
