Full Job Description

Orley Farm School would like to appoint a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support for a pupil in their learning journey. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact in a child's life.

In this role, you will work closely with an individual pupil and provide tailored support to meet their unique learning needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson activities, reinforcing concepts taught in class, and helping the pupil develop essential skills. You will also monitor their progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to their education.

We are looking for someone who is patient and reliable, with strong communication skills to effectively engage with pupils, staff, and parents. A relevant qualification, such as NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent experience, is desirable as is knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL) and Communication Support Work. The working hours for this role will be 8:20am to 12:20pm, 20 hours per week, term time only. The salary range is between £11,600 and £12,300, depending on your experience and qualifications.
