An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Meadows for a SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and experienced person to join us. The successful applicant will have a number of responsibilities including planning and delivering lessons across key stages 3 - 5. Relationships with staff, students and parents are important and the successful applicant will need to utilise a range of engagement strategies.
A higher-level teaching assistant who has experience of working with students with complex and profound needs please note full training will be given:
- an enthusiastic person with real passion for working with children with SEND
- Has a passion for working and supporting children
- Has high expectations of pupils' and be committed to making a real difference to our students learning outcomes
- Is flexible and open to new ideas
- Is a team player
- Will fully support the ethos and aims of our schools
- Be a Level 4 qualified higher level teaching assistant
- Have English & Maths GCSE minimum grade C/4, This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role
The Meadows School is an extended Sixth Form Day School. We provide education for students from the ages of 9 to 19 across the local authority. We cater for 215 students who have severe and complex special educational needs; many also have additional physical, medical and communication difficulties, including autism.
