Full Job Description

St Catherine's is a school very proud of its friendly atmosphere, excellent pastoral care and strong academic reputation. Our School Mission captures the spirit of our happy, confident and inclusive community.

The SEND team at St Catherine's fulfils an important role in the care and support of pupils. Line managed by the SENCO, the Teaching Assistants support girls both individually and in small groups and workshops. Tas also help to liaise with parents, other staff, and external professionals to ensure best practice.

St Catherine's has pupils from Years 3 to 13, and the SEND team works across the whole school. For this post, we are especially seeking someone who has senior school experience; however, we are also able to provide training and professional development for an applicant who has the appetite to develop their SEND practice.

We are keen to receive applications from enthusiastic, positive and experienced people able to take on this role in January 2025. The part-time post is for a 0.6 allocation; however, there may be flexibility depending on your experience and other specialisms.

If you feel you have the experience, enthusiasm and commitment we are looking for, then we would be delighted to receive an application from you.

Closing date: Monday 7 October 2024.

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, so early application is recommended, and the School reserves the right to appoint prior to the closing date.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Appointment will be subject to a number of safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check as part of Keeping Children Safe in Education, and once in post, receive further training and updates.
