Full Job Description

Pear Tree Infant and Walbrook Nursery School is a vibrant and diverse school that works closely with parents as partners, as well as the wider community. We pride ourselves on promoting an ethos of mutual respect and high expectations. We ensure that learning and activities are fun, active and challenging.

The Governing Body and Head Teacher are extremely proud of our children and are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. We seek individuals who are passionate and sensitive to the needs of working with children who are from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The post requires you to have experience of working in a school and/or nursery setting, have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and evidence of competency in Maths and English at GCSE level. The successful candidate will have high aspirations and excellent levels of spoken English.

We would expect that you have experience of working with children and have a genuine passion to help children flourish in our school.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Experience of working in childcare settings and/or school

  • Has a good knowledge and experience of child development

  • Works in close collaboration with colleagues as a valued member of a team.
