Teaching Assistant Level 2

The school is looking for an outstanding, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team supporting teaching and learning for children at our school.

• Previous experience in working with children.
• Or be working towards or agreeing to study for a Level 2 qualification.
• An understanding of how children learn and the complexities of this process.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• An understanding of Child Protection policies.
• Patience and empathy towards pupils.
• Good command of literacy and numeracy.

  This is a temporary position to 31st August 2025, term time only, to support pupils throughout the school.
Hours 27.10 per week. Actual work pattern: 8.45 am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday with 45 minute lunchbreak and 20 minute morning break. Teaching Assistant salary scale NJC points 5 - 6 £24,790 - £25,183 (pro rata for actual hours and weeks worked), depending on experience. Actual annual pay for hours indicated £15,151.73 to £15,391.93.
