JOB TITLE: Teaching Assistant - General Class Support FTE/HOURS: 31.25 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break PAY: Grade F, scale 7-10. This provides an annual salary of £17,618.35 per annum.

  • START DATE: ASAP This post is for a one-year, fixed term contract in the first instance, subject to review. We are looking for a talented Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our Learning Support and Inclusion Team. The successful candidate will primarily be assigned to support a range of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across the school, we are looking for someone with particular experience of working with children with ADHD and ASD specifically. You will work with our experienced, supportive, and talented Learning Support Team, under the direction of the SENCo. The successful applicant will support the implementation of exciting, innovative strategies and interventions that will engage pupils and have a significant impact on progress. You need to be able to: · Work flexibly and confidently with children with a wide range of social, emotional, and mental health needs as well as those with wide ranging SEND. · Work specifically with students with SEND support and more specifically an Education, Health and Care Plan · Demonstrate a passion for learning and inclusion · Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to engage and motivate children with complex needs · Be solution focused and emotionally resilient in highly emotive and unpredictable situations · Demonstrate an understanding of child development · Be committed to our nurturing ethos in order to grow confident and happy learners · Work as part of a team of professionals.
