Full Job Description
+ Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
+ Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
+ Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
+ Assisting with classroom management and ensuring a safe learning environment
+ Helping students with personal care needs, if required
+ Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
+ Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
+ Good understanding of SEN strategies and techniques
Experience:
Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a similar setting
Knowledge and Skills:
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team
+ Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
+ Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a school environment, supporting students with SEN. The Teaching Assistant may need to assist with personal care and be prepared to handle challenging behaviour. The work is full-time and temporary in nature, based in Salford, Greater Manchester.
